A trading card featuring Dallas star point guard Luka Doncic sold Thursday at PWCC for $3. 12 million.


This is a record price for a basketball card sold at a public auction.


The card comes with a patch from the jersey Doncic wore in his NBA rookie season, as well as an autograph from the Slovenian defender. On the reverse side are Doncic`s words as a rookie. Luca joked that he would end his career if he scored from above through LeBron James.


In 2021, a similar card was sold in a private deal for $4. 6 million. The record belongs to the LeBron James trading card - 5. 2 million
